My life as a coyote

Every time I see him it's the same story. We spend a marvelous time together, blahblahblah. And then, he turns around, looks at me, and bolts off saying "Neep neep!".

Yeah ok maybe he does not say that litterally. But it really feels like that, exactly like in the cartoon of the coyote and the Neep Neep bird. Everytime the coyote feels he is close to his goal, Neep Neep runs away leaving poor coyote in a state of confused frustration.

But the race continues..

I am in a similar predicament... Slightly frustrated, I was venting over a bottle of wine with friends on Friday to the effect of "Oh well he can just forget it...", to the horror a very good male friend of mine. Apparently it's "totally normal" and is just a symptom that "he's just working out whether he likes you". Hmm, not sure I agree, but I guess it means we can live in hope and keep going with it for a few more weeks? Patience....

Lola, have you read "He's just not that into you"? Incredibly insightful into a lot of masculine behaviour. To be taken with a pinch of salt like all books like that but nevertheless thought provoking..

I have indeed - in fact, after one glass of vino too many on Saturday evening I pointed out to my target alpha male
"Maybe you're just not into me". To which he replied
Pause
"yeah, maybe"

But, like, er, that means he might be into me right? (JOKE!)
